By on August 4, 2015

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Planet Jackson Hole has learned that Natalia Macker has been chosen by the Board of County Commissioners today to replace the resigning Melissa Turley. Macker was one of three finalists chosen by Democratic Party leaders from more than a dozen applicants. Len Carlman and Phoebe Stoner were the other two.

All three candidates were interviewed twice for several hours by the BCC until Macker emerged today. A formal announcement is pending.

“We are looking forward to working with her, helping her get up to speed and again being a board of five members,” commissioner Barb Allen said in a prepared statement.

Macker will finish Turley’s term, which runs through the end of 2016. Macker has already expressed a desire to campaign and run again after that.
