Joint board deadlocks over funding housing/transportation

By on December 7, 2015

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Board of County Commissioners and Town Council members hashed out issues today surrounding how a Communities Priorities Fund (CPF) might be funded. In the end, the joint board not only could not agree on whether to officially create the CPF by resolution, but when it came time to decide on using SPET or an added penny of sales tax to the general fund, civic leaders deadlocked with the county interested in a sales tax, 3-1 (Vogelheim opposed), and the town favoring using SPET, 3-1 (Stanford opposed).

An additional special JIM meeting will be scheduled in the near future. Read more in this week’s Planet.
